Shamoun Murtza, Chief Technology Officer
Shamoun Murtza has worked in senior positions in technology and business development for more than twelve years. Prior to joining GridApp Systems, Mr. Murtza served as the Chief Architect and Director of Development at Register.com where he was responsible for managing all aspects of software development, database management and quality assurance. The rapid development and system stability created by his efforts enabled Register.com to become a leader in the domain name industry.
Mr. Murtza served as the lead System Architect for Bigstar Entertainment where he designed and built all major components of their e-commerce application suite. This helped validate the business model of the organization enabling it to go public. Prior to Bigstar Entertainment, Mr. Murtza spent three years at Time Warner where he was involved in systems design and development for several e-commerce and data warehouse systems.
Shamoun Murtza is an expert database architect and Oracle DBA and is highly proficient at data warehouse design and deployment. Shamoun deployed and managed one of the first major commercial installations of Oracle on Linux and is responsible for debugging key components of the application. Mr. Murtza has expertise in logical and physical Oracle design and implementation, HA solutions utilizing Oracle and third party systems. He implemented high transaction (2000+ trans/min) and large data warehouse solutions for companies such as AOL Time Warner and Register.com.
Shamoun Murtza graduated from Rutgers University in August of 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a minor in Applied Physics.
